Seasonal Pattern
As September rolls in, water temperatures gradually begin to drop, signaling the transition to autumn. In the first half of the month, the lingering summer warmth means that well-oxygenated areas will be key fishing spots. By the latter half of September, more fish will start to exhibit autumnal behaviors.
This is one of the most enjoyable months on Lake Biwa, with comfortable weather and active fish. Crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and topwater lures all produce well. The bass become more aggressive as they fatten up for winter.
